As well as the £230K investment in new cardio equipment announced last month, there was quite a lot on Welcome Gym Sutton’s wish list to Santa before Christmas 2019. However, he made sure that the club’s stockings were overflowing with goodies, and we’re sure that over the coming months our lovely members will enjoy playing with all the fantastic new toys he delivered! The new items of Life Fitness equipment installed in the gym include: -
In The Main Gym8 x new treadmills with TV monitors and touch-screen functions
2 x new treadmills with improved console face functionality
6 x cross trainers with TV monitors and touch-screen functions
4 x cross trainers with improved console face functionality
4 x upright exercise bikes with improved console face functionality
2 x recumbent exercise bikes with improved console face functionality
Also - even more innovative and exciting – are the following completely new pieces of kit: -
4 x Assault Air Runner Treadmills – these run on the exerciser’s own energy with no electrical consumption and a low carbon footprint. You’ll be amazed at what a hard-core workout can result from the power of your own feet! Do take care when stepping onto the running belt, as it will begin to move immediately, and use the handlebars at first, until you get used to the machine.**
1 x Assault Air Bike Elite, taking training to a new level with its smooth ride, ergonomic design and enhanced console capabilities. Infinite, individualised adjustments allow the user to keep things slow and steady or jump to high intensity interval training for a serious workout.**
**We recommend that you ask for help from one of the fitness team before you try one of the Assault Air treadmills or the Assault Air Bike for the first time, to make sure you use them correctly and safely for optimal results.
In The Ladies Only Gym2 x new treadmills with improved console face functionality
2 x cross trainers with improved console face functionality
2 x upright exercise bikes with improved console face functionality
Club Manager, Shane Linehan, is delighted that Welcome Gym Sutton has received such a tremendous enhancement to its facilities. He says, “ As well as offering our members affordable prices and a warm welcome, Welcome Gym’s not-for-profit status allows us to invest in the very best of exercise kit, and to regularly upgrade and refresh our offering, so that our members can vary their workouts, try something new and make keeping fit both challenging and fun. I’m sure our members will join me in looking forward with renewed enthusiasm to making the most of the gym as we start this new decade.”
