Assistant Manager
We are currently looking for applicants to fulfil this role and their main responsibilities will include:

• Have a passion for health, fitness, well-being and all-round excellence.
• Are driven, energetic and you share that energy with your team.
• Lead from the front and by example, happy to get stuck in and set the standard for service
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the high standards set by Welcome Gym.
• Have an unwavering commitment to understand the expectations of your members and can support the GM to deliver continuous improvement plans to exceed those.
• Are a great leader, engaging and inspirational, setting a high-level example to those around you; your team and members alike.
• Can support compliance whilst delivering the highest service levels possible during the day to day running of your gym.
• Assist the GM with Monthly and quarterly team meetings and employee performance reviews
• Assist GM with staffing rota planning and group exercise class timetable management in line with financial targets
• Strong commitment to delivering financial growth for the business utilising sales, marketing and retention skills to assist the GM with target focused business objectives
• Have an instinct for being on the gym floor, working with a fully engaged team to deliver excellence, whilst being equally at home sharing best practice with your peers.
• Have a proven track record of success and are eager to bring that winning attitude to Welcome Gym Sutton.
• Can engage and influence both staff and members.
• Have a positive approach to team development and continuously look for ways in which to maximise their potential
• To ensure Safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures are being followed.
• Able to seek solutions and resolve problems, as and when they arise.

Skills Required
Fitness Level 2 Qualification, Group fitness class trained experience, health and safety experience and experience of managing a small-sized team (not essential)

Training will be given but the general skills required for this post include:

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• IT literacy.
• Good organisation, presentable at all times, proactivity, and initiative.
• Willingness to work in a team and co-operate with other employees.
• Punctuality
• Adaptability, as opening and closing shifts as well as weekend availability, may be required.
