Themed Workouts for Valentine’s Week: Sweat It Out Solo, With a Partner or in a Group

Valentine’s Week isn’t just about chocolates and flowers—it’s also a great time to show love to your body through movement! At Gym Fest, we’re celebrating fitness in a way that suits everyone, whether you prefer to train alone, with a partner, or in a group. Let’s dive into some fun, themed workouts to keep your heart pumping and your energy high!

Self-Love Strength Workout

Who says Valentine’s Day is only for couples? Take time to focus on yourself with this powerful solo workout that builds strength, confidence, and resilience.

Try this routine:

  • Jump Rope Warm-Up – 3 minutes
  • Squats – 3 sets of 12 reps
  • Push-Ups – 3 sets of 10 reps
  • Lunges – 3 sets of 10 reps per leg
  • Plank Hold – 30–60 seconds
  • Cool Down – Stretching & deep breathing
This routine helps improve endurance and builds full-body strength. Plus, it’s a great way to show yourself some love by taking care of your health!

Power-Pair Circuit

Grab a gym buddy, your personal trainer or your Valentine for a workout that’s all about teamwork! Exercising together keeps you motivated and adds an extra element of fun.

Try these partner exercises:

  • High-Five Push-Ups – Face each other, do a push-up, and high-five at the top (3 sets of 10)
  • Squat & Pass – Hold a medicine ball, squat together, and pass the ball between reps (3 sets of 12)
  • Plank Hand Taps – Hold a plank and tap each other’s hands (3 sets of 15 taps)
  • Sit-Up Pass – Sit facing each other, do a sit-up, and pass a weight back and forth (3 sets of 10)
  • Cool Down – Stretch together and celebrate your hard work!
Working out with a partner keeps you accountable and makes exercising more enjoyable!

Heart-Racing Team Challenge

If you love the energy of a group workout, join one of our Gym Fest fitness challenges! Training in a group pushes you to work harder while having a great time with friends.

Try this heart-racing circuit:

  • Relay Races – Compete in short sprints or obstacle courses
  • Burpee Challenge – Who can do the most burpees in one minute?
  • Wall Sit Challenge – Hold a squat against the wall and see who lasts the longest!
  • Join a group class - Check the timetable and book your spot in one of our many group fitness classes!
  • Cool Down – Finish with group stretching and a high-five circle!
Group workouts build community and make exercise feel like a celebration. Plus, a little friendly competition can be a great motivator!
